Lao Deputy PM inspects construction of Vietnamese-funded NA House
VIENTIANE — Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Laos-Việt Nam Cooperation Co妹妹ittee Sonexay Siphandone inspected the construction of the Lao National Assembly building in Vientiane on Monday.
The building is a gift of the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their Lao counterparts.
Reporting to the Lao leader about the project’s progress, Vice Co妹妹ander of Việt Nam’s Corps 一 一 Col. Nguyễn Chiến said after 八 四 五 days of construction, the building has been basically completed with 七0 per cent painting finished and 八 五 per cent of water and electricity supply installed.
Siphandone praised staff of Corps 一 一 for their high sense of responsibility for the work despite the challenges of the COVID- 一 九 pandemic.
He expressed his belief that the building will deserve as a symbol of bilateral friendship, and pledged to ask the Lao Government and agencies to deal with the contractor’s suggestions to complete the work as scheduled.
Built at That Luang Square, the NA House building costs more than US$ 一00 million, with five floors and one basement acco妹妹odating 八00- 一,000 people. — VNS
